Our Top Hat Trade Sign is reminiscent of the characters in one of the heart warming Christmas tales by Charles Dickens. Did some Victorians wear top hats in purple? The sailor's bar in Chelsea, named The Top Hat, reputedly featured a purple top hat above the entrance.
